Approach

Here are the development steps we envision:

We must aim directly at PASSENGER travel – in a world without the ‘Space Flight Participant’ (SPF) legislative waiver. This will require a level of safety which is acceptable within the expectations of other means of transportation (trains, planes and automobiles) or possibly just an accepted level of safety applied to all industry participants.

Our view is that passenger safety results in highly reliable vehicles. This will be shown to be a necessary feature to drive down costs and subsequently, ticket price.

We must explore the smallest feasible solutions. Smaller vehicles, smaller test and launch facilities and smaller ongoing operational staff to make it all happen. We see value in more flights with less passengers departing from various locations to multiple destinations.

There IS a chicken and egg problem to evolve. There must be destinations in space to take people for work and tourist experiences to match the transportation capacity and vice versa.
